PHOTOGRAPHERS are increasingly being urged to submit their images as part of a competition. The Rotary Club of Alsager has launched its annual photography competition and is now looking for entrants across three categories to submit their favourite images. The best pictures and runner-ups, which will be judged by a photographer from The Sentinel, will be displayed in Alsager Library with the photographer receiving a cash prize. Those entering the 'advanced' category can submit prints up to A3 size. It is intended for more seasoned photographers. The 'open' category can de entered by all photographers. Entries ought to be up to A4 size. The 'junior' category is for anybody under the age of 16. with prints up to A4 and the Jun All entries ought to be mounted on card with margins all round of no more than two inches. Each picture should have its title, and the name of the entrant, and its category, written on the back, and must be accompanied by a completed entry form and the entrance fee. The fee £3 for adults and £2 for entrants under 16, is payable for every photo entered. No-one may enter more than three pictures. Entries should be offered by hand to Alsager Library, where application forms can be obtained, on March 2 or March 3. |
