New gallery and studio will mark Maz's decades on film

A master of classical portraiture and internationally acclaimed photographer, Maz Mashru holds some of the highest accolades that any photographer can be awarded.

Now its beautiful new gallery and showroom marks a new beginning; where people can be inspired and where Maz can produce yet more fresh, innovative and exciting products and services - a well-known signature of the brand.

Famous faces he has photographed have included Jackie Chan, Dionne Warwick, Tony Blair, Colin Salmon, Nina Wadia and many, many more.

Today, Maz and his team have invited Leicestershire's prominent businesses and VIPs to the official opening of the new gallery and showroom, being conducted by Leicester East MP Keith Vaz.

He has now established the most spectacular reputation in Leicester through the years.

Today, Maz of Leicester runs one of the finest international photographic studios, bursting with creative energy and stunning quality.

Maz would really like to thank all his loyal friends, customers and suppliers for supporting him and invites you to a special launch event.

For more than three decades it had been an industrial factory with steel girders, exposed brick, loose pipe work and broken windows.

Trained alongside Rocky Gunn, Monte Zucker, Al Gilbert and other famous classical photographic artists, Maz's interpretation of light and shape in his images is a rare talent for any modern-day photographer.

As a brand, Maz of Leicester is celebrating five decades of producing timeless portraiture as well as contemporary images.

For 50 years, its heritage of quality and innovation has earned the respect and trust of generations.

To celebrate 50 years of trading, Maz of Leicester has moved to a spectacular events showroom and photography studio - probably one of the East Midlands' largest studios.

Maz, originally an exile from Uganda, became the photojournalist for the Argus Newspaper usually photographing Idi Amin and his Army.

Based on the belief that every life event is a celebration, our pioneering brand has introduced services and products for our customers which are distinguished by quality and creative art.

The building, previously a factory in the 1970s, was derelict.

Now fully restored, the showroom looks incredible with suspended ceilings, stunning lighting and specially-sourced wallpaper that has the appearance of velvet, a black, off white and gold colour palette to co-ordinate with the branding.
